Delaware Truck Refinishers Expands Facilities and Parking to Meet Market Demands
NEW CASTLE, Del. – January 5, 2022 – Delaware Truck Refinishers, experts in body and collision repair with more than 30 years of experience, announced it is expanding its facilities by leasing additional space and adding additional parking. The company is located at 3039 Bowlarama Drive, New Castle, DE 19720.
“The additional space will allow us to meet the market demands and give us the space to continue developing and investing in our workforce,” stated owner and CEO Patrick Connell.
In 2019, DTR merged with ARS Truck & Fleet Service to increase its offerings as a full-service commercial truck service leader. The partnership provided better opportunities to serve customers and partners, and the company has experienced rapid growth since the merger.
DTR gains 40,000 square feet of additional building space with the new expansion. The area will be used by the body, RV, and HD (heavy duty) mechanical repair departments. Powercomm is completing the renovations, and the facility is expected to be ready for use on January 15, 2022. In addition, DTR just completed a $150,000 gated parking project on Lambson Lane in New Castle, adding in 75,000 square feet of parking space for an additional 60 vehicles.
With the latest expansion, DTR would like to recognize some outstanding employees for their contributions to the company.
Office Manager Jerrica Bell started her career with ARS Fleet Service in the accounting department, learning the business. She quickly outgrew that position and proved herself worthy as the office manager for DTR’s body shop division. Bell holds an associate degree in psychology and accounting and is a member of the Automotive Training Institute’s body shop coaching program.
Zaina Simone, Customer Service Representative (CSR), is responsible for DTR’s complete customer service experience from beginning to end. She handles vehicle intake and communicates each step of the process and progress with their customers and partners. Simone also oversees and manages DTR’s vehicle delivery process. She has a background in the auto industry and is well versed in customer service excellence.
Anthony Cumella, Heavy-Duty Truck and Collision Foreman is a talented and experienced shop foreman and manager. He has many years of experience with HD trucks, box repair, ambulance service, fire truck repair, and refinish. Cumella has seen it, done it, and delivered it in record time when it comes to commercial truck body repair.
Paint & Refinish Foreman Judah Jamison has been with the DTR family for nearly three years. He’s used his past work experience and newly acquired skillsets to fine-tune the refinish department.
Bud Grassi, the Senior Estimator, has the experience and knowledge needed to manage repairs quickly and competitively. With over 40 years of experience, Grassi also serves as a mentor for the younger workforce.
Our RV division is currently undergoing massive enhancements for 2022. Currently lead by a DTR company veteran who joined the company 20 years ago and now has more than 35 years of RV repair experience. DTR further hopes to grow this division and become the area leader in RV paint and body repairs.
